San-Tan-Valley Arizona is an unincorporated area located in Northeastern Pinal County. It officially became known as San Tan Valley, in 2009. Quite popular would be an understatement as it is Pinal County Arizona’s largest community in terms of overall population.
San Tan Valley is the name of Arizona’s newest community and has an estimated 80,000 residents. Plenty of golf courses, mountain views, wildlife, and access to just about everything you need. You will find plenty of local entertainment and many local businesses that will allow you to stay and shop local.
A nice feature that many of the locals appreciate are the airports located nearby.
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport was named 2012 Airport of the Year! Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is highly regarded as one of the fastest growing hub airports here in the United States.
The locals just know Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport as a means to easily fly in and out of the area. Of course if you need an internal airport, Sky Harbor is easy to get to from San Tan Valley. If you prefer to fly out of the Phoenix airport, Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International is a mere 40 miles away.
San-Tan-Valley is located in northern Pinal County, Arizona with a bedroom community located in the Phoenix metropolitan area's southeastern suburbs.
Home prices in the San Tan Valley area are moderately priced but if you have the means to spend more, there are certainly many homes in the area to suit you as well.
If you need a few acres of land, you can certainly find that too. I personally really like the area because of the versatility and the nearby surroundings that San Tan Valley offers. It is close to the airports, has plenty of shopping, doctors, and even has a hospital.
San-Tan-Valley is not only close to the airports, it has plenty of shopping, doctors, and even has a hospital. San-Tan-Valley is also home to the largest hospital network in Arizona, Banner Ironwood.

San Tan Valley has plenty of wildlife as well as indoor attractions... Great dining and yes, a mall too! Be sure to check out the outdoor San Tan Valley Village Mall.
You will discover plenty of stores with outdoor/indoor dining available. During the cooler months, the locals take advantage of the cooler weather and often dine outdoors.
Other stores include DSW Shoes, children’s stores, and Marshall's, too. These are just a sampling of the stores you will find there.
There are plenty of attractions for everyone. If you like the outdoors, you will find plenty of areas for biking and there is also the San-Tan-Valley Mountain Regional Park. This park alone has well over 10,000 acres that harbor the lower Sonoran Desert. The elevation of the park ranges anywhere from about 1,400 to over 2,500 square feet.
There are two entry points to the park. Thomas is the main gate, Goldmine Gulch is located at the back of the park for easy access for anyone… Goldmine Mountain entrance is located in the northern area, with a gorgeous view of the area. You will also find two distinct areas of interest that include the creosote flats and saguaro forest.
There is also a pretty cool visitor’s center you can visit if you would like to get additional information about the area. They also have wildlife exhibits that your family can enjoy. Your kids will love it!
